I saw a report in my newspaper the other day stating that the local food bank was running out of supplies; as often happens when you are alerted to something, I then noticed a national report online that also spoke of mid-summer being a tough time for charities in general.
When I hear Ella Fitzgerald sing these words from the song Summertime it makes me think of summer in BC and especially outdoor music; music in the park performances offered by many BC municipalities and of course amazing summer music festivals.
I’m the world’s worst at remembering to put sunscreen on – I’m not a great fan of sitting in the direct sun, so think less of protecting my skin.
