With the rising number of COVID-19 cases, we may not be able to travel internationally for a while now!  But that doesn’t mean we can’t gift ourselves (or someone else!) a quick getaway. Whether you’re toying with the idea of a stay-cation or you’re looking to explore other parts of British Columbia, we want you to know that we’ve got your back. We’re here to keep your flock safe!

Our COVID-19 safety protocols are so good, the Hotel Association of Canada shared them with other hotels as a “best practice.” Safe to say, you will be safe with us, because we are taking care of our teams and our guests like you’re part of our family. That’s what we’ve always done and it isn’t going to stop now.

A Contactless Experience.

Yes, we miss hugging, too! But right now, we just can’t do it. In fact, the less contact you have with another person, the better for all! At Accent Inns, you’re pretty much guaranteed a contactless hotel experience. Our exterior corridors and our ‘curbside check-in’ process ensures that you can go straight to your room after parking. No need to enter the common areas at all! Since our hotels are only three stories, you can take the stairs and avoid elevators. Safety? Check. Fitness? Also check!

Individual Heating and Air Conditioning Units.

Each guest room at all our locations is equipped with its own personal air conditioning and heating unit. What does this mean? This means that there is no chance of pollutants travelling through rooms like how it is with a central system. You can keep your room as toasty or as cool as you want and you don’t need to worry about germs pumping in!

The Best Cleaning Protocols.

You know we have the best protocols when the Hotel Association of Canada uses us an example of doing things right! Our COVID cleaning protocols are rigorous, covering every touchpoint on our properties. This includes back of house areas. Our housekeeping teams use hospital grade sanitizer in all rooms. The BC CDC recommends that we do not clean your room during your stay, but we will make sure to keep you stocked up with everything you need and remove garbage upon request! For long stays, we can arrange for you to switch rooms so that you can get into a clean one.

Social Distancing.

While we’re still here for you socially, we know that maintaining distance is the only way to keep everyone safe and healthy. To minimize any transmission, social distancing is in place at Accent Inns for both staff and guests. Only one party is allowed in the lobby at one time, plexiglass barriers are in place at the front desk, and we’d be happy to talk to you over the phone and leave any additional supplies at your door if required.

Now, we know and understand that we’re living in strange times. Things change by the minute and no plans are set in stone. Which is why, when you book directly with us, you also get flexible cancellations. Which means you won’t be charged if you cancel the day before your travel date!
