It’s Movember in Kelowna

November has become a very special month around many offices & businesses. Usual dress code standards tend to relax a bit as many gents around the globe take part in Movember.  Our team at the Accent Inn Kelowna has most definitely embraced this trend and we’re proud of them. Even though we have free razors available at our front desks, this is one time when we’re glad to see team members let their five o’clock shadows (at least above their lip) grow on for the cause.  If you’d like to help them raise money for the cause please click here to donate.

Here’s some background on Movember:

Movember is a fun play on November and men  across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues. Movember has become a very special way for men to draw attention to cancers like prostate and testicular cancer. Men who take part in Movember are affectionately called Mo Bros and start November clean shaven but then allow their mustaches to grow and grow as they fund raise for the cause. From 30 Mo Bros in Melbourne, Australia in 2003 to 1.1 million Mo’s in 2012, Movember has grown to a global movement that is changing the face or rather faces of men’s health.
