Tour De Victoria 2015 A Great Success

The Tour de Victoria has been a wonderful addition to Victoria BC’s cycling community and event scene. It draws hundreds of folks (approx. 1200), from far and wide, out to enjoy the wonderful scenery of our area while challenging themselves in one of the 3 optional rides;

Harbour Air Epic – 140km for the experienced cyclist

Legend – 85km for the cycling enthusiast

Challenge – 45km for the entry-level cyclist

Accent Inn was proud to be a supporter of the Ryder Hesejdal’s Tour De Victoria. We helped in several ways but the most visible was our Bike Friendly Shuttle bus following behind as the Broom wagon during the “Epic” ride. Broom Wagon: vehicle that follows behind bicyclists (as in a race) to pick up those who drop out or to carry gear.

Victoria’s weather did not disappoint for the 2015 ride. Beautiful sunny weather and moderate temperatures made it perfect for the ride. After everyone completed the ride at the finish line in front of the legislative buildings and Inner Harbor, they were welcome to refreshments and fun. Accent Inns and Hotel Zed had three riders in the event. Our Pres. and CEO Mandy Farmer came in second for the ladies division.
