Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club announce exciting promotions
The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club will mark the 60th anniversary of Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium with one of the most exciting promotional schedules in franchise history.
Opening Night is Friday, June 17th at 7:05pm out at Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium as the C’s welcome the Yakima Bears.

Fans will be dazzled with the most impressive Superstar Series in recent memory as the BC Sports Hall of Fame will present five (5) former Toronto Blue Jays including soon-to-be National Baseball Hall of Fame member Roberto Alomar (June 28th). Along with Alomar, the C’s will welcome Lloyd Moseby (June 20th), Kelly Gruber (July 2nd), Ed Sprague (August 4th), and Jesse Barfield (August 15th).
The longtime tradition continues as fans can soak up the sunshine during one of our nine (9) Power Smart ‘Nooners presented by BC Hydro. Gates will open at noon with all Power Smart ‘Nooners set for 1:05pm.
Kids will be happy to learn that the Canadians will host five (5) A&W Family Fun Sundays meaning great giveaways, $1 A&W Root Beer Floats and postgame ‘Running of the Bases’. Among the giveaways for A&W Family Fun Sundays, the Canadians will hand out a full-sized youth baseball bat to the first 1,000 kids 12 years and under (July 3rd).
The Vancouver Canadians have built a reputation of having the best fireworks shows in town and this coming summer, the C’s will light up the skies a dramatic eight (8) times in 2011.
Fireworks extravaganzas can be found on back-to-back nights to start the season! Opening Night will be presented by Granville Island Brewing (June 17th) and FortisBC will present our second straight Fireworks extravaganza (June 18th). Don’t miss Canada Day as the C’s host the Eugene Emeralds followed by a patriotic fireworks display presented by Scotiabank (July 1st).
Specialty nights also find their place into the Vancouver Canadians 2011 Promotional Schedule as the C’s will host Dog Day of Summer presented by St. John Ambulance (August 3rd) and The Famous Chicken presented by Canadian Direct Insurance (July 19th).
