In 2011 when Cirque du Soleil, Michael Jackson “The Immortal Tour” came to Vancouver I knew I had to attend.

After purchasing tickets, I called the Accent Inn, Richmond BC to book my overnight hotel and complimentary parking.  It worked out very well!  We checked into the hotel and then took the complimentary shuttle to the River Rock casino.  We then took the sky train and were in downtown Vancouver in 25 minutes.  The show was incredible and our accommodations worked out great.

Michael Jackson’s Immortal tour highlighted all of Michael’s greatest hits as well as some of his lesser known work.  The show was beautifully choreographed with dance, movement, and acrobatics.  The backdrop was an historic video of Michael working on projects throughout his life. It was an incredible tribute to Michael Jackson after his recent passing.

We were so happy with everything that when Cirque Du Soleil announced another show – Amaluna in November 2012, we purchased our tickets and immediately booked the Accent Inn Vancouver Airport location again.

Amaluna by Cirque du Soleil was presented in the Grand Chapiteau located in False Creek.  After attending 6 other Cirque performances, my husband and I were eagerly anticipating this one.  This production includes over 70 % female performers ,and because of that the featured acts were focussed on flexibility, balance and grace with a couple of high energy numbers for thrills. The costumes are always gorgeous, and the makeup of the performers is very creative. The audience was breathless as one performer built and balanced a huge mobile above her head, definitely a highlight of the production.    A very special event for us to attend.

We’ve just returned from a two night stay this time, and were absolutely thrilled with the entire weekend.  Thanks for making our stay so comfortable!
