4 Awesome Ways to Celebrate Easter Weekend In Vancouver

Spring has sprung and with it has come an awesome long weekend. Greater Vancouver is hopping with super-fun events this year, and we’re compiled our top 5 for you and your family. Don’t forget to book with our Burnaby hotel and save on those ridiculous downtown prices. The Skytrain station is just a hop, skip and a jump from our front door and you’ll be connected to the rest of the city in minutes! For rates as low as $149 and so much fun to be had, you can’t afford not to book! Hit the orange reserve button to book your room before they’re all sold out!

1. Find yourself some eggs

Sometimes you just can’t beat a classic Easter Egg Hunt. And Metro Vancouver has them in spades this year! Stay local at visit the CG Brown Memorial Pool for a hunt followed by a loonie swim. Or hippity-hop onto the SkyTrain for the Stanley Park Easter Train event in the city! Not only will you catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny, but there will be carnival activities like mini-golf and bouncy castles. And, of course, a legendary Easter egg hunt!

2. Run for it

The Big Bunny Run is back at Jericho Beach this year for the third year in a row! With 1km, 5km and 10km options, there’s something for everyone! Plus, you really haven’t lived until you’ve seen people dressed up as the Easter bunny running as fast as they can. This event is stroller and pet-friendly…although we don’t recommend bringing your pet rabbit…

4. Catch a game

Who said hockey can’t be an Easter activity? People who don’t love hockey, that’s who! Our own Vancouver Canucks are taking on the Oilers on March 29 and the Blue Jackets on the 31. The best part? Take the Skytrain from the hotel and you don’t have to worry about parking or traffic (or having one too many stadium beers).

4. Dance it out

Maybe you don’t have little ones so Easter Egg Hunts aren’t really your scene. Don’t worry; the Easter Bunny brought you something fun too: Seasons Festival is celebrating its 8th year this year. With headliners like Rae Sremmurd and Zhu, you’re going to be grooving all weekend long. You can even book our shuttle to take you right to the Pacific Colosseum for the fest!
