Did You Say Cupcakes!
When I think of cupcakes, thoughts of beautifully decorated, chocolaty (my fav) treats come to mind. Or If it’s near Valentine’s Day then of course the word “cupcake” relates to my dear sweet wife (sucking up is always a good thing)
Did you know that cupcakes can mean so much more!
February 25 is National Cupcake Day. The BC SPCA along with their colleagues in other jurisdictions are encouraging us to Bake and sell cupcakes with the proceeds benefiting the SPCA. What a wonderfully tasty way to support those that can’t support themselves. Having a bake sale or cupcake sale is not necessarily a new idea, but to have a whole day dedicated to cupcakes, raising funds and awareness for our animal friends, that’s new and it doesn’t get any better.
So get ready for Monday February 25, break out those aprons and bake away. Or what a wonderful gift to give to your “cupcake” as a post Valentines way to get brownie points. (cupcake – brownie..get it !)

Bake cupcakes, raise funds and save animals’ lives!
By registering, baking and fundraising for National Cupcake Day for SPCAs & Humane Societies, you will be part of an exceptional group of supporters across Canada who understand the importance of animals in our lives. Your cupcakes will help give a surrendered puppy a home, rescue a neglected pony, provide emergency surgery to an injured kitten and save thousands of lives.
To host a National Cupcake Day Party:
- Register for FREE here.
- Wait for your host kit to arrive in the mail or download it here.
- Personalize your Online Bakery and send it out to the world.
- Encourage friends and family to support you by donating online.
- Bake cupcakes.
- Hold a National Cupcake Day party and collect donations.
- Show off your creations to the world via Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.
- Send in the donations collected at your National Cupcake Day party to the Ontario SPCA (for eastern Canada) or the BC SPCA (for western Canada) by March 18th.
