November 15th is National Philanthropy Day (NPD) – a day to celebrate and recognize those who contribute to good causes and make this world a better place. Sierra Club BC is branching out.
For the recent 2014-2015 school year they had a brand-new education team. There is a long history and strong foundation of environmental education to build on, and this season brought new energy and ideas to the programs. Last year they visited 230 classrooms across BC. This means that they directly engaged over 5500 students. (more…)

One of our community partners, the Sierra Club of B.C. takes the time to focus on the issues surrounding such an important resource. The Sierra club of BC recent article on Blue Carbon is a great example of how we can do something about carbon here in our own backyard and they are to be commended for their dedication to finding and suggesting solutions.
