Victoria, BC – The Victoria Salmon Kings, proud affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks and Manitoba Moose, announced today that they have once again partnered with the BC Cancer Foundation (BCCF) to present their fourth annual “Pink in the Rink” night on Friday, February 4th, 2011.
For this year’s annual event sponsored by 103.1 Jack FM and 98.5 The Ocean, the Salmon Kings will be wearing brand new pink jerseys for one night only! Janet Pachal rides to conquer cancer for the BC Cancer Foundation
The BC Cancer foundations “Ride to conquer Cancer” is a very special annual event. Accent Inns has had the privilege of working with and/or supporting several individuals in their efforts to raise funds for the “ride”. Helping people suffering from cancer and ultimately finding cures for the various cancers is a goal that is both achievable and a “must do” for our race.
The BC Cancer Foundation the BC Cancer Agency provide some of the best care and research anywhere in the world, right here in British Columbia. We must remember though that they do not do this alone. Hundreds and hundreds of volunteers and supporters are out there everyday fundraising and supporting events just like the Ride to Conquer Cancer and they deserve a very special thank you.

The Victoria Tech Team started to put the wheels in motion at a Viatec Christmas. The results; a cycling team of 22 Victoria BC tech professionals, and months of training for the 260km ride from Vancouver to Seattle in support of the BC Cancer Foundation’s 2010 Ride to Conquer Cancer.
The Victoria Tech Team Riders championed by team Captain Tony Melli is made up of a wide range of members from the local tech community, including software entrepreneurs, business owners, tech investors, government agents, educators, consultants and IT experts.
