Earlier this year, Accent Inns offered frontline workers in BC a rock-bottom rate so that they could isolate safely. Our Essential Services staff are, well, essential to our community and we know that we have to keep our hotels open so that they have a clean, comfortable and safe night’s sleep. It’s the absolute least we can do.
But what happened next is pretty amazing. After announcing this offer, our phone lines flooded with concerned community members offering to cover the cost of accommodation for Essential Services employees who needed to stay with us. Your generosity and kindness inspired us to launch Hotels for Frontline Workers , a program in partnership with the United Way of Greater Victoria. Our community donated over $100,000 room nights to this incredible cause.
Now, as we’re seeing a rise in cases across the Lower Mainland, we’ve received calls from frontline workers who need somewhere to stay as their workplaces are experiencing outbreaks. So we’re re-introducing our low rates for frontline workers who need to self-isolate in Accent Inns Burnaby or Accent Inns Vancouver Airport (Richmond). These rates start at just $59.
We’re also re-launching the Hotels for Frontline Workers program in partnership with the United Way of Greater Victoria.
