Tour de Rock
Accent Inns are proud to support the Canadian Cancer Society Cops for Cancer Tour de Rock. The team, the events raise money for pediatric cancer research and programs for children with a history of cancer. The Tour de Rock team cycles from one end of the Vancouver Island to the other, over 14 days, covering 1,000 kilometres.
Since 1998, the Tour has raised $16.6 million for the Canadian Cancer Society, which uses the money to fund pediatric cancer research and programs that help children with cancer and their families.
The 2012 team, made up of 14 police officers, two special guests and two members of the media, will add to the totals. So will the people of Vancouver Island, who have taken it upon themselves to lead the fight against childhood cancer.
