The cat’s out of the bag and it’s official – the
welcome mat is out for four legged travelers at Accent Inns across
British Columbia in Burnaby, Kamloops, Kelowna, Vancouver, and Victoria!
“We’re animal lovers and our family has always included
dogs”, explains Terry Farmer, president and CEO of Accent
Inns Inc. and current alpha dog to two shelties. “We realized
how difficult it was to find accommodation when traveling, and as
a result, Accent Inns has been a pioneer in pet travel - we’ve
welcomed pets from the time we opened our doors over twenty years
ago. However, recently we’ve noticed the increase in requests
for pet-friendly accommodation so we formalized our policies and
have even featured pet travel as part of our latest advertising
campaign!”

Can Stay”, a national certifying and marketing body in North
American that provides a standard of accommodation for pet-toting

$15 per night to cover extra cleaning costs, and receive a “doggie

zones.

canines - but you would be surprised at how well behaved they are.
Dogs are such wonderful companions and just want to be with the
ones they love, “says Farmer. “This program allows everyone
in the family to travel together!”
