If you sit quietly on the benches along the perimeter of the park you will likely see the resident marmots. Very cute . Love pizza! The only mini-golf left in town. Accent Inns Team Member, Katie Bahnsen.
Due to its elevation, it is generally a great place to fish year round but does slow in hot summers. You can also rent rods at the Tourism Kamloops office. Fish bite just about anything at Red Lake. (20k up Red Lake Rd starting at Tranquille Farm. Accent Inns Team Member, Katie Bahnsen.
2 vehicles. Start at Pioneer Park & load all your rafting supplies into 1 vehicle. Life jackets are advisable. Drive East on Trans-Canada highway & turn left on River Road in Valleyview. Cross the railway tracks to Valleyview boat launch. Park along Thompson Drive. Have an extra ‘cargo raft’ for your supplies as this will be a 4 hr drift. Use a rope to tie your rafts together. Float back to Pioneer Park where your second vehicle is parked. There are a number of sandy beaches along the way. Suggestion from Accent Inn Team Member Katie Bahnsen.
