What a great way to discover the great outdoors, that is so much a part of Vancouver Island life.

If you’re in the mood for delicious, affordable Mexican food – then Cafe Mexico is the place. They serve home made tortilla chips and salsa when you sit down – I could just eat these for dinner! They also have a lot of gluten free options. Great for lunch or dinner.

If you’re looking for incredibly healthy food – that actually tastes good – go to Rebar. It’s been an institution in Victoria for over 20 years and they continue to evolve their menu. Their almond burger is soooo delicious. Terrific spot for bruch or lunch and in the heart of Victoria. PS – they have a terrific cook book – so you can make your favourites at home.

If you’re on the run and need to grab something easy and healthy for lunch or a snack – go to Cascadia Bakery. They have wonderful frittatas, mac & cheese to die for, and pizza by the slice. And don’t get me started on their desserts – they are decadent..

This winery is in a beatiful setting in the Cowichan Valley. It’s an old farm house that has a lovely veranda, where you can sit and sip wine and overlook the vineyard. You feel like you are a thousand miles away in Europe somewhere, instead of BC. And their Damasco wine is the perfect summer sipping wine!More Info View on map
