The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club will host its inaugural Scotiabank Vancouver Canadians Baseball Foundation Hot Stove Luncheon featuring the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, January 21st (1180 W. Hastings Street) starting at 12:00pm.

The Vancouver Canadians Baseball Club will be hosting a pair of pre-season events out at historic Nat Bailey Stadium that will give fans of all ages the chance to enjoy the ballpark this upcoming Father’s Day weekend.

On Saturday, June 19th, the Canadians will open up the gates to ‘The Nat’ for their first “Movie Night at The Nat” showing the classic baseball movie “Bad News Bears” staring Walter Mathau.  This classic film is rated ‘G’ and will be featured on the new Canadians Diamond Vision to all who wish to come and enjoy a movie full of fresh air under the stars.

The Crystal Meth Prevention Society has been busy with Fundraising efforts and delivery of its ‘Be Crystal Clear’ message warning against street drugs in general and Crystal Meth in particular. The aim is to reduce the spread of crystal meth use in all communities through education and outreach support efforts. Victoria Hotel Chain Remembers Remembrance Day

(October 15, 2009) Helping to remember those who sacrificed their lives along with the dedication of active service members, Accent Inns is partnering with the Royal Canadian Legion to commemorate Remembrance Day. For every guest wearing a poppy on November 11, 2009 and checking into an Accent Inns property, a $5 donation will be made to the Royal Canadian Legion BC/Yukon Command’s Poppy Campaign.

VICTORIA, B.C.- Members of TLC The Land Conservancy can sleep easy with Accent Inns as $5.00 of their room rate will go back into protecting B.C.’s natural areas, historic sites, and agricultural lands.

As part of a new business partnership, Accent Inns through their InnAid Program will not only be donating $5.00 from all TLC Member room rates back to the non-profit land trust, but Members will additionally receive a special discount rate to stay at any of their five hotels located in Victoria, Richmond, Burnaby, Kelowna and Kamloops.
