Since last year, Bin 4 Burger Lounge owners Dan and Sarah Blackmore and Chef Michael Ringland have worked closely with Accent Inns president and CEO Mandy Farmer, finding common ground in their approach to business and love of good food while developing the new space. Farmer and the Blackmores share a common mindset when it comes to customer experience. The design of the new Bin 4 Burger Lounge took into consideration the needs of visitors, travelling for business or leisure. Extra power outlets are available at the seats in the lounge, which seats up to 30 guests. The bar is larger than the other two Bin 4 locations, providing individual seating for 16 guests, and both the restaurant and outdoor patio can accommodate larger groups of up to 20 guests. (more…)

Victoria BC, June 18, 2014 –Spring 2014 Through connecting with hotel executives at several events, representatives from the Arthritis Society learned of the many not-for profit organizations that Accent Inns has managed to assist and decided to learn more about the local hotel chain.
The surprise came when after meeting with the chain’s Marketing and Communications Manager, John Espley, they found that Accent Inns also wanted to learn more about The Society. After several months of networking and a few meetings in both Victoria and Vancouver BC, it was agreed that Accent Inns would extend a helping hotel hand and support the Arthritis Society, BC & Yukon Division through the company’s InnAid program. This month (May 2014), the Accent Inn Vancouver Airport Hotel won the prestigious ‘Business & Arts Award’ from the City of Richmond. The award was presented by the Mayor of Richmond, His Honor Malcolm Brodie, at the Richmond City Hall at a presentation ceremony attended by a large number of people. Accent Inns was a finalist selected from over 87 businesses/ nominations. Sincere thanks go to the Gateway Theatre, their board of directors, staff and supporters who nominated us. (more…)

Victoria, BC, April 25, 2014 – Last night at the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce annual business awards gala, the Accent Inns hotel chain was named the employer of the year. The black tie event which took place at Victoria BC’s Empress Hotel ballroom consisted of 13 different award categories and one lifetime achievement award being finalized and recipients named. Congratulations go to Bob Skene, the Chambers Lifetime Achievement award winner, a prestigious and not lightly handed out accolade which Accent Inns own founder, Terry Farmer was awarded in 2012. Hi there, Victoria Accent Inns here. I’m totally lucky having 4 other “sister” hotels around BC (coincidentally also all named Accent Inns…) and it looks like in just a few days (May 1st is the due date) I’ll have to get used to having a new cousin around, a new Victoria Hotel. Me and my siblings are really proud of our great rooms, good service and totally fun attitude but this new family member…. well she’s different. (more…)
