Last week (June 30) Accent Inns celebrated 25 years in Business. What started as an exciting and unknown venture for founder Terry Farmer has become a 25 year success story. With Mandy Farmer at the helm of Accent Inns for the last few years, our BC owned hotel chain has focused even more on our our place in the environment. Accent Inns has always been a great supporter of local BC communities and for us, caring for our surroundings was just considered the right way to operate a business. Terry Farmer, Accent Inns "not so undercover" boss

The current installment of CBS (shown on CTV) Undercover Boss TV Shows the President and CEO of Choice hotels going undercover.  Well I just had to take this opportunity to talk about Accent Inns leadership. Long before Choice Hotels CEO dawned a uniform our own Terry Farmer was working hard at our Accent Inn BC hotels. The attached video shows  Accent Inns founder and Chairman, Terry, more recently cleaning rooms and doing maintenance at both our Kamloops hotel and our Victoria hotel. This particular efforts was as a reward to our staff for the great fundraising effort everyone in the BC  hotel chain did for the Power to Play event.  Every Accent Inn is owned and operated by the Farmer family with Mandy Farmer being the current President and CEO. Terry and Mandy have never been afraid of getting in and supporting our team and they always make an effort to know each one of our staff (around the province) by name!
Friendliness and cleanliness have always been a priority and as you can see in the video, having fun is important to!

Island Fisherman supports Accent Inns' "Fish for the Future"

As the excitement around Accent Inns new Fish for the Future program starts to mount, we are thrilled that one of the most qualified sport and recreational fishing experts would take interest in Accent Inns.  Larry E. Stefanyk, founder and publisher of Island Fisherman Magazine and the Producer of the Vancouver Island Outdoor Adventure Expo wrote a great piece in his last issue of Island Fisherman Magazine. Check out the article in the September issue in the Hook line and thinkers column (love the title larry).

Larry has long been a supporter of both the Freshwater fisheries society of BC and the Pacific Salmon Foundation.
