Accent Inns has had the distinct honour of working with the Vancouver Canadians Baseball club for several years now. Now that summer is here (no comments on the weather please) so are the “boys of summer”. Sure, sure it’s often heard that Canadians are hockey people but that’s only true part of the year. It’s time to get out of the arena and enjoy some incredible summertime entertainment. The Vancouver Canadians play at the Scotiabank field at Nat Bailey stadium. The stadium has been around since 1951 and hosting some of the best sports entertainment anywhere in the Pacific Northwest. The Vancouver Canadians are a minor league baseball team located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The C’s have previously affiliated with the Oakland Athletics between 2000-2010 but have become the Northwest League affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays. Father’s Day Reflections

So here we are. Another Father’s day approaches. I know Mom’s rule the world and we wouldn’t be anywhere (or even here) without them but… Father’s day has a little different feeling about it. Ya, Ya I know your saying to yourself, He’s a father so of course he feels that way. Perhaps, but I think there’s more to it. I think mother’s day is rightfully about celebrating and thanking mother’s for their caring, their nurturing and giving us life. Science tells us there’s a special bond between a mother and child and I tend to agree. For a father that relationship is something to a certain extent that must be created. Of course father’s can be nurturing and have a bond to our children but scientifically mom’s the word. So Father’s day is a real privilege, an honor. What Father’s Day means to us Dads
Friday, June 17th, 2011This weekend is Father’s day. Last year I presented a blog post about the top 10 things a father and daughter could do together. This year I thought I’d offer some insights, my observations on what effect being a father has on a fella and in my opinion, the most important thing Fathers can do for their children.
First off let me give away a secret, dispel a myth, breakdown the facade that us men put forth (sorry guys). You may see us as macho men, big strong guys that can build anything or tear anything down, the creators of life’s inventions, the leaders of men, captains of industry, masters of our domains and the heads of the household (ok I was pushing it on that last one…). In truth we are at our very best , pushed to achieve, most vulnerable and most satisfied when we are known as “Dad”.
