The term arthritis (“arthro” meaning joint, “itis” meaning inflammation) is used to refer to more than 100 related conditions. Arthritis can strike anyone at anytime, regardless of age, physical condition or ethnic background, often with devastating and debilitating effects. Arthritis brings with it a burden of pain and disability that those living with this disease must face every day. The main symptoms of arthritis are chronic joint pain, stiffness and swelling, which can result in significant disability and poor quality of life. (more…)

The Accent Inns‘ Inn Aid “Charity in Changing Times” seminar was a breath of fresh air, and a welcomed addition outside of my daily routine. I was able to connect with other professionals in the non-profit world and find out our common challenges and provide helpful solutions. Dawn Chubai’s personal approach on how to work with the media was insightful because a large percentage of my work entails gaining media coverage for The Land Conservancy of BC. Her passion for storytelling and representing non-profits in her community is completely sincere and genuine. (more…)
Well, we’ve just finished our second annual Accent Inns – source group Charity in Changing times seminars. This year we expanded the reach and put on the seminars at our Accent Inn Victoria hotel, Burnaby hotel and for the first time our Kelowna hotel.
The topic was communications and we were so please to have and incredible troupe of travelling experts. These experts, Robin Holden with the Source group, Ross Dunn with Stepforth Web marketing, Melinda Jolley with Tartan PR, were joined by local media representatives at each event. (more…)
