When I was a kid growing up on the East Coast one of my favourite winter activities was grabbing my brother’s wooden snowshoes, rounding up my uncle’s Springer Spaniel (Blueboy), and heading out into the woods. “Cousin Blue” and I spent many hours cutting new trails and following the ones we had previously created. Of course, things did not always go as planned…… ...read more about snowshoeing

He’d hum in this high pitched, off key sort of jubilant way. When I’d say to him, “um, Dad? You’re like totally embarrassing me in front of my friends?!” he wouldn’t know what I was talking about! “I’m not humming” he’d protest! read more on the 25th anniversary confession
