The Kids Coin Drive for Variety is an annual fundraiser now in its 9th year. What started as a small penny drive has become a province-wide campaign that has raised over $1.5 million! The Coin Drive’s biggest supporters are all kids who have been helped by Variety and now fundraise on behalf of children who other children who need Variety’s support.

Young philanthropists from around the province will be in Burnaby on Wednesday, September 1st to kick-off the 9thannual Kids Coin Drive for Variety. All of the children involved have been helped by Variety – The Children’s Charity and are now giving back to the cause by raising money for other kids like them. The Sierra Club of BC reports on Blue Carbon

With Accent Inns launching our new “Fish for the Future” program I was thrilled to read this new article put out by the Sierra Club of BC.

At Accent Inns we are always looking for ways to not only make our BC Hotels greener but also ways to help protect our communities deal with pollution and carbon issues right here locally. The Sierra club of BC recent article on Blue Carbon is a great example of how we can do something about carbon here in our own backyard and they are to be commended for their dedication to finding and suggesting solutions.
