Let’s face it, if you are not currently in a relationship or if you dismiss the idea of Valentine’s Day as a way for retailers to part you from more of your hard earned cash, you may not wish to spend Feb 14th at a hotel where rose petals and champagne are the order of the day. (more…)

Hot on the heels of my secrets to success blog post, here’s a random smattering of shortcuts and tricks of the trade that I often employ to help me get the most out of my day. Please note some of these are desperate measures and are not to be used daily!
For instance, the first one – Dry Shampoo – should only be used on occasions when you are really pressed for time or just can’t stand the thought of wash, rinse, repeat, blow-dry, style, hairspray routine. Just sprinkle this dry powder on the roots of your hair and voila! No need to shower, but maybe an extra layer of deodorant wouldn’t hurt. (more…)
Wow, what a year 2011 was for the Accent Inn team.
The year began with us launching the first ever hotel rewards for Pets, the “Pet Fee Free” card back in March. The response had people talking about it online from all over North America (not just Canada). Next, one of our Vancouver Airport team members, Zully, won a Tourism Vancouver award for his service. We went from the excitement for Zully to our founder, Terry Farmer, being awarded Tourism Victoria`s first ever Lifetime Member award, which really put a spring in our steps. (more…)

Now that summer is well under way….at least it’s supposed to be. You may be wondering “just where can I stay with my troop.”
I’ve got the wagon or minivan loaded with children and buddy the family dog (or Sylvester the cat). We’ve got our really nice bikes on the back and more gear in our utility trailer behind. Who is gonna accept this bunch? Will it be somewhere I actually want my family to stay? (more…)
I’m in love. I’m exhilarated. Optimistic. Refreshed. And yes, a little out of breath. As usual, rain or shine, I’ve biked into work this morning, and feel awesome and excited to start my day. Who am I in love with?? Don’t worry honey, yes, it’s still you, but my new bicycle is the hot new love of my life. It’s a girl-bike which means I can wear a dress, my uniform of choice instead of a business suit, and it’s a retro styled Amsterdam upright two wheeler, in raspberry with wood trim and leather seats. Mmm-hmm! (more…)

A new program by the BC family owned and operated hotel chain Accent Inns is going to make travelling with your bicycle a whole lot easier.
