Already lots of excitement as the Victoria Cycling festival kicks off with Robert Cameron Law cycling series. 3 days, 3 different events starting with Hotel Zed Time Trial on Dallas Rd – May 30. The Hotel Zed Time Trial is a 5km race along Victoria’s scenic oceanfront on Dallas Road. Known as the “Race of Truth”, riders race against the clock along the course at breakneck speeds of up to 60 km/hr. (more…)

What an awesome day it was in Victoria on Sunday June 2nd. The Bastion Square Grand Prix is the final race in the Robert Cameron Law cycling series, part of the Victoria Cycling festival. Accent Inns along with our friends and team partners at Russ Hays were proud to sponsor the final big race.
The racing at all levels was exciting… even the Tim Horton’s timbits challenge saw the kids doing a whole lap of the course and still sprinting to the finish.
The level of intensity and endurance was spectacular to watch from all the competitors. It was impressive to watch the high school races as you could easily see some up and coming serious cycle racers. (more…)
This weekend Victoria BC hosts the Robert Cameron Law Cycling series featuring the Russ Hay’s/Accent Inns Bastion Square Grand Prix
The 2013 Robert Cameron Law Cycling Series returns as the kickoff event for the Victoria International Cycling Festival. This year’s racing events follow the same race format as 2012 with a time trial on Dallas Road, a gruelling Road Race in Metchosin, and a fast and furious Circuit race in downtown Victoria around the historical Bastion Square. Kids ages 5-10 also get to take part by riding with some of Canada’s top cyclists in the Tim Horton’s Timbits Challenge.
The Victoria International Cycling Festival is Canada’s biggest cycling event that celebrates, supports, and grows the awareness of cycling not only in Victoria but all across Canada. (more…)
What a weekend! June 1-3 here in Victoria BC we enjoyed the Robert Cameron Law Corporation Cycling Series. The weekend began with the Specialized / Russ Hay’s Time Trials. It was a breezy and slightly chilly evening but the view from Victoria’s Dallas Rd. trumped the weather and the cyclists didn’t disappoint when it came to giving it their all for the crowd. This event has each rider challenge only themselves. many even have specialized time trials only bikes and watching them dawn the sleek aerodynamic helmets brought back memories of Star Wars. Unlike Star Wars there was no Darth Vader to fear, only the clock. (more…)
