The Okanagan Symphony Orchestra  is in motion, the Administration that is. On February 1 we will move in to our new offices at Knowles House, 865 Bernard Ave., Kelowna.
We love the house and the location, right next to a park, beautifully manicured by the City of Kelowna, where we can envision summer concerts in our more freewheeling moments.

Everything’s on the ground floor and is totally accessible, which gives us the opportunity to bring our ticketing in house, with our own space where our patrons can pick up tickets, ask questions and get to know us a bit better. (more…)

She Kills Me is a 13-episode series of comedy specials that will shine the spotlight on over two dozen hilarious, established and up-and-coming Canadian female comics, including Dawn Dumont, Sharon Shorty, Carilynn Nicholson, Katie-Ellen Humphries, Sharon Mahoney, Carolyn Mark and Karen Brelsford. ADOPTION AWARENESS MONTH

The goal of this important month is to help raise awareness about the over 1,000 children and youth in BC who are registered and waiting to be adopted. Each year, a Provincial Proclamation kicks off activities and celebrations that promote positive perceptions, draw attention to important adoption related issues, and celebrate families formed by adoption. National Adoption Awareness Month is a time for adoptees, adoptive parents, advocates, and professionals to celebrate adoption and remind others that hundreds of children are still waiting for a permanent, loving family to call their own.
