SHE KILLS ME
All-Female Comedy Series to be taped in front of a live audience
Full Season of 13 episodes to be broadcast on Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN)
Victoria-based Less Bland Productions in association with Aboriginal Peoples Television Network and Drama Camp Productions is set to begin principal photography on She Kills Me (previous title The Broad Comedy Room), an exciting new comedy series to be broadcast nationally on APTN.
She Kills Me is a 13 episode series of comedy specials that will shine the spotlight on over two dozen hilarious, established and up-and-coming Canadian comediennes including Dawn Dumont, Sharon Shorty, Katie-Ellen Humphries, Sharon Mahoney, Carolyn Mark, Karen Brelsford, and Miss Rosie Bitts. This half-hour series features some of the funniest and fiercest female comedians in Canada. Each episode will feature one Aboriginal and one non-Aboriginal performer.
The series will offer a broad range of comedy genres. In addition to stand-up performances, the series will include sketch comedy, music, storytelling, and variety performance.
She Kills Me will be taped in front of a live audience at Victoria’s Metro Studio Feb 13 – 17 2013. The show is created by Executive Producer Kirsten Van Ritzen, and produced and directed by Ian Ferguson and Leslie D. Bland.
