What does a snowball fight look like in Victoria or Vancouver? Well, you get a small group of people,dress the men in funny pants, give them each a bag full of sticks with bent ends and some small dimpled white balls and then release them onto a Golf Course. That’s right! On the West Coast we consider the golf ball a reasonable replacement for a snow ball.
And while we do like to believe that it never snows here, the fact is that it rarely snows and our Golf Courses are open year round. In fact winter golf is often less expensive and less crowded.
This year both Vancouver and Victoria are already showing signs of spring weather with warm, sunny days and flowers already shooting up toward the sun. Our liquid sunshine has kept the golf courses green and the golfers are getting more plentiful with the longer daylight hours.
Accent Inns also offers golf packages starting on May 1st for those who like to wait for the summer weather but we’re still happy to accommodate dedicated putters in the winter at our 3 West Coast locations – Victoria, Richmond and Burnaby all within close proximity of local golf courses.
In Victoria we work with Arbutus Ridge, Highland Pacific, Cordova, Bay, Olympic View and Bear Mountain for our Golf packages. However, there are also a number of public courses and driving ranges close to the hotel for a quick game or a little driving practice.

Although golfing in the tropical sunshine is an option for some, there is a certain sense of satisfaction when calling relatives to the east to tell them that we just spent the morning on the golf course and the afternoon on the ski slopes.
So get your golfing gang together and give us a call for a pre-arranged package or a short-notice golf weekend. And if golfing is not what everybody in your gang is looking for, there are plenty of other options close to all our hotels in Victoria, Richmond and Burnaby.
