Scuba can be done anytime. I also love to ocean kayak in the winter here. Other than warmer cloths and gloves, it's basically the same as the rest of the year. Something to be said about being "out there" on a crisp cool fall or winter day. Even came across a Snowy owl once at Discovery island off Oak Bay! Hi Paul, you are sooo right. Fall and winter may be slower times for some outdoor activities but it's the best time for scuba diving in and around Victoria and the rest of Vancouver Island (and the whole of BC for that matter.) Every part of BC has something very special to offer but hopefully this post has highlighted some of the really neat parts around Victoria BC. Of course after a good visit to Victoria a nice trip up Vancouver Island would be highly recommended. Can’t agree with you more.
