For the first time ever, the Camosun College Chargers will host the BCCAA Men’s and Women’s Provincial Volleyball Championships scheduled for February 25-27, 2010.

Upon completing their 16th season of competition in the British Columbia Colleges’ Athletic Association and their second year of residence in the Pacific Institute for Sport Excellence, the Chargers are excited about the opportunity of hosting the Championships and are looking forward to putting on a top-notch show.

The Chargers will be welcoming teams and fans to their new home at PISE located on the Interurban campus. This incredible facility boasts a double court gymnasium with international height ceiling, large fitness centre with a high performance area, athletic therapy room, team rooms, change rooms, classrooms, sport research and innovation centre and an all-weather soccer pitch. The facility is also home to the Canadian Centre for Sport Pacific, LifeMark Sport Medicine and Camosun’s Centre for Sport and Exercise Education.

“With 35 Provincial playoffs under our belts, it’ll be great for our teams to finally play host and have the home court advantage,” said Recreation and Athletics Coordinator, Graham Matthews. “We look forward to preparing for this event and showcasing some of the best volleyball in the Province.”

The Official 2010 BCCAA Men’s and Women’s Provincial Championship website will go live soon! Congratulations to the qualifying teams …
