"BARRIER FREE FACILITIES"

Accent Inns offer a limited number of “Barrier-Free” facilities at all five of our locations - Victoria, Vancouver Airport, Vancouver Burnaby, Kelowna and Kamloops. We have met all of the Level 2 requirements in accordance with ACCESS CANADA standards. The following is a quick reference guide on the facilities we offer:

(1) Parking

• Drop off area at main entrance (lobby)
• Firm, Level and Slip-Resistant surface to entry
• Designated parking spots within 50 m (16’5”) of guestroom entrance
• Parking spots are 37m (12’) wide
• Curb is cut within 50 m (16’5”)

(2) Elevators

• Located right off the lobby
• Door width - 910 mm (3’)
• Elevator Car allows reasonable maneuverability
• Inside Buttons reachable by wheelchair user
• Raised lettering symbols
• Control Panel illuminates when pushed

(3) Guestrooms

• Doorway is 800 mm (2’7.5”)
• Peephole is located between 3’3.5” - 3’7.25”
• TV Remote
• Easy-Touch light switches
• Open Frame Beds
• Telephone is located at bedside
• Telephone has amplification option
